Misty Morning, Rockport, MA

I had seen the classic Motif #1 in many paintings for years. It was almost a little surreal to actually see it in person. However, as I explored Rockport, I wanted to try and capture a unique angle of the classic structure and communicate the mist that enveloped the harbor. This painting hopefully expresses my quiet morning in the harbor. You could hear the soft lap of the water against the docks and the sounds of birds nearby.
