Catnip With Bee ~ a Little Nip

Catnip flowers and a bee surround this beautiful and inquisitive, Tuxedo Cat. She wears her mother's crystal ball necklace which glints delicately in the foreground. She stares back at you in this moment of mystery, tinted with blue and gold drapery. The catnip flowers use a "nipperkin," (an archaic measure of alcohol,) as a vase. Hence, the old phrase, a "Little Nip." This painting is also a play on words.
