On a hike near the ocean in Big Sur, I spotted this smaller-scale waterfall next to the trail. More than its size was the sparkling of Life that I felt from its bubbling journey over the rocks and through the woods. In this painting, I wanted to convey that sense of life I felt through scale, color and brushwork.
