As a boy, I spent much time around this creek , in my hometown of Santa Rosa, CA. The place was mysterious and exciting to me. In this recent study of that creek, I attempt to recreate that mystery and excitement through the play of light and shadow, and the feeling of movement, expressed through value and color shifts and brushwork.
