Scruffy

Scruffy is not the name of this dog, but more a description of her appearance and attitude! I loved her unruly hair and her endless energy and felt the best way to capture her personality was to paint with palette knives. I painted this alla prima as part of my intention was to keep it rough and immediate. In this view, she is looking through a screen door hoping to get back inside for a treat.
