Patience is a virtue that has always fascinated me, because it involves aspects such as being strong, enduring, knowing how to wait, knowing how to give despite the dark and mysterious sides that life holds. And continuing to believe. I always saw all this in my mother, and I tried to paint her to embody this symbol of strength, spirit, protection and hope. I studied a triangular composition to increase the symbolic strength and solidity for the viewer. I wanted with, the clothes to evoke Mary as a symbol of motherhood. I sought an intense atmosphere by playing with warm lights and bright draperies, I hope the result will excite you.
