While being a realistic painter, for this piece I was highly inspired by impressionistic landscapes. Making this painting was playing with details and leaving out information. You can identify the different layers, gradually merging into each other. From the bare tinted panel, rough marks of flowers and dress, to a refined and glowing face pulling you in.
