Coastal Contemplation

This is a studio painting done from plein air sketches and digital images in Garrapata State Park on the California coast between Carmel and Big Sur. One of the most beautiful places on this earth! I have painted dozens of paintings here and in the studio from Plein Air studies and digital images. This view is looking north along the coast from just north of the Rocky Creek Bridge on Highway One.
