A softly brushed acrylic painting on hand steched canvas. I photographed myself in the landscape of Nancy Holt's Rock Rings in Bellingham WA. This painting is a tribute in human connection to nature. The figure leaps and reaches to the sky. The red of the earth flows around them and to the sky. Each classical element is present, water reflecting the figure, the quarried earth of the archway, and the flowing presence of air in the leap.
