What do I want to paint?

I was in my final semester of college. My business school degree was almost done and I was starting to question what the next step in my journey would entail. I knew I wanted art to be in my life but it had been years since I'd felt a deep connection with my artwork (hence, my pursuit of a business degree).

What do I want to paint?

Something fun.

A longhorn.

The creative process was an accumulation of all of the things I love -- Color, texture, order, chaos, sunshine, and patterns. I briefly lived near a longhorn ranch and I loved looking at the individual beauty of those majestic animals. The creation of this piece was also heavily influenced by studying the interior design techniques of Kelly Wearstler, who excels in organizing clashing elements into a cohesive space.

I loved every second of the creation of this piece. It is one of the first paintings I have ever made that feels like a reflection of my heart.
