This painting was painted outdoors in 2023. I was impressed by the sunshine playing on the water, and I had this composition in my imagination before the plein air day. In the city, I have my favorite places for plein air, and I definitely know before beginning an artwork where and when I can catch the best light because I have limited hours for working life.
