A Slow Day

Painted plein air in Kerrville, Texas as part of PaintKerrville! event sponsored by Outdoor Painters' Society. This was my quick draw entry. It was about to sprinkle rain and I was able to stand under a big oak tree for protection. The scene is the back of the Sunrise Antique Mall on Water Street in Kerrville. I was attracted to the shape of the van with the darkness under the carport surrounding it and the twinkle of the lights. I was also attracted to the texture of the back of the buildings and the color of the sign.
